On both split paths, the green one is faster. However, on the second split, the fastest path is starting on green, switching to yellow before the turn, and switching back to green on the turn.
You can save time by positioning your drifts to drive on all three ice ramp shortcuts(two in the ice cave, one at the end).
Strategies
After Turn 1, you can use the boost ramp to get an item from both paths by jumping to the right side.
Shocks are really powerful when used to chain into the final set due to target shocks. Bills are also powerful at the third set because they drop you off at the finish line.
Bob-ombs are very useful when placed at the first split paths, the ice ramps, and the glider ramps.
